Lisa attained a degree in Political Science before leaving NZ in 1992.  In 2021 she received a Diploma in Neurolinguistic Programming to become a Practitioner in NLP, as part of her continuous professional development. More recently Lisa has qualified as an Expert Witness through the prestigious Cardiff University and Bond Solon, she is now accepting instructions.


Lisa has qualified to be a member of the prestigious International Dressage Trainers Club (IDTC). The members of which discuss and vote on important developments being considered by the Federation Equestrian International (FEI) governing body. 

Lisa been involved in a broad spectrum of equestrian disciplines. Her experience in dressage, eventing and show jumping stands her in the perfect position to be called upon to act as an Expert Witness within the industry, however, her experience extends to many more areas of Equestrianism.

Her riding career started in Pony Club, having represented NZ on the Pony Club Team, and has subsequently taught Pony Club in NZ and England. Lisa also has experience in Hunting, having worked at the famous Scarteen Hunt and the Limerick Hunt, in Ireland.


Whilst living and working in Ireland, Lisa also worked in the Bloodstock and Thoroughbred Industry, preparing mares and foals for sales in England and Ireland, whilst helping school and train racehorses on The Curragh.

Having run her own yard, employing grooms, breeding horses and working within every aspect of caring for horses. Lisa has a close understanding of managing staff, farriers, vets, physios, saddlers and nutritionists.               

Lisa also has an extra level of understanding the land, and the Agricultural Industry. She grew up on a small holding with sheep and horses in New Zealand. Her father was a qualified Farm Advisor who taught Lisa many aspects of the agricultural industry. She ran a small business buying and selling sheep to help pay for her University Education, as well as teaching riding, and worked in University holidays in a successful seed dressing plant that processed cereal crops, in sole charge.

Being an experienced International trainer, Lisa has worked with many Owners, Sponsors and Federations (Governing bodies). She has also worked closely with the Team Selectors of numerous nations. In this capacity Lisa has been required to write reports, and give educated opinions about specific horses and riders and their ability, potential, and training plans, predicting future performance, and assessing current achievements.

With strong written and verbal communication skills, Lisa is respected for her ability to work with and between different groups of people, whilst respecting the need for truthfulness and remaining realistic. She is very comfortable being questioned and having her opinion cross examined. Reliable and helpful, Lisa is valued as an integral member of any team she works with.
